PROJECTS

I am truly blessed to have been giving the opportunity to be a part of these projects and it feels even better to provide these for the community and its inhabitants.

Community Revitilization

Operational Planning & Project Management

In my leadership role for Camden County Economic Youth Development Association in 2001, I successfully led the planting of thousands of trees in Camden, NJ including the cherry blossom trees that bloom each year. I coordinated with stakeholders, the Department of Public Works and engaged the community, and ensured that the project was completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. Our team of 300 youth and Adult team leaders worked diligently to ensure that all safety standards and environmental regulations were in place and adhered to throughout the project. I am proud to have contributed to the beautification of the city of Camden and am confident that this project will have a positive long-term impact on the community.

Park Revitalization

Operational Planning & Project Management

We worked with local government and community members to design plans for improving parks and green spaces, creating new recreational amenities, and making sure all parks were accessible to all members of the community. We collaborated with city agencies, local businesses, and civic organizations to secure funding and resources to make these improvements. We also provided educational opportunities and resources to the public, such as public health and safety initiatives, to help empower the community and enhance the quality of life for all citizens.

Carpentry I

The Camden Childrens Garden was established in 1999 as a place of learning, exploration, and discovery for children of all ages. The garden is filled with plants and animals from around the world, and is a place where kids can learn about the environment, nature, and science. The Big Red Barn, donated by our carpentry shop class, serves as a central gathering place for the garden and offers a variety of fun activities and educational opportunities. Visitors can take part in interactive exhibits, go on a nature scavenger hunt, and participate in gardening classes. The Camden Childrens Garden is a place for kids to get outdoors, explore, and learn in a fun and engaging environment.
